Hi, currently I'm using the .99/month plan, but I need to upgrade shortly -or change hosts- and was wondering...

Why does the DirectAdmin plan allow unlimited domains and unlimited subdomains and Cpanel doesn't?

How many domains and subdomains are allowed for cpanel/.99 each week?

How many users connected at a time in a forum approx. allowed for this plan, what kind of limits? (regarding cpu load, etc)

How would I change plans?

If changing to Directadmin how would it change my home directory, would it change?

Is there a demo for DA? Currently I need/use home directory backup, sql backup and phpmyadmin, and awstats is nice.

Thank you for your time. I don't want to leave here but will be needing more resources soon, esp. domains/subdomains, so I wanted to check on this before my current plan expires.

Hi,

DA plans are just setup differently to attract different customers.

Cpanel only allows one main domain. Unlimited sub-domains currently.

As long as a forum doesn't start spoiling the server for all we won't interfere. However as you can appreciate, these plans are not for busy huge forums.

You can sign up for a DA plan and request your Cpanel plan to be cancelled.

You'll have to manually migrate everything to the DA server yourself.

You can read all about DA and check out the demo at http://www.directadmin.com/

Hope you choose to stay - wouldn't like to lose a long term friendly customer like you Smile
